Migration from Omnissa / AirWatch

Workspace ONE UEM On-Prem support ends in April 2027.

The software will keep running, but responsibility for securing and maintaining it shifts to your organisation. Samsung SDS EMM offers a like-for-like On-Prem transition without giving up sovereignty or architecture.

Time remaining until end of support

Every preceding step (evaluation, change approval, pilot, migration) carries its own lead time. In sensitive environments the margin is smaller than it looks.

What it means for your organisation

Doing nothing is also a decision.

Unpatched vulnerabilities

Security patching stops. Any flaw disclosed after April 2027 remains unaddressed.

Slower issue resolution

A platform failure no longer carries a vendor escalation path or a committed resolution timeline.

Frozen compatibility

New Android, iOS and Windows releases, new device models and browser versions are no longer validated.

Audit exposure

Running unsupported software in the management plane can trigger findings on its own and puts compliance at risk.

The alternative

A like-for-like On-Prem replacement, not a forced redesign.

Samsung SDS EMM is deployed with more than 1,000 customers across over 40 countries, including more than 300 government agencies.

Enterprise-grade security

First EMM certified under NIAP Common Criteria. Also NSA CSfC, STIG, FIPS 140-2 and NIS verification. FIPS-validated cryptographic module and mutual TLS.

Operational continuity

Replaces the management layer on a like-for-like basis. Deploys into your existing topology, preserving segmented or air-gapped designs and minimising firewall changes.

Structured migration

The Fast-Track Migration Program runs in three phases with defined milestones. End to end it typically takes 8 to 12 weeks.

Fast-Track Migration Program

Three phases, defined milestones, guaranteed continuity.

1

Pre-migration

Fleet inventory, policies, apps, integrations and target architecture. Communication plan and pilot.

2

Migration

Samsung SDS EMM deployment, migration in waves, assisted re-enrolment (KME, QR) and validation by group.

3

Post-migration

Stabilisation, controlled shutdown of Workspace ONE, documentation, training and support.

8-12weeks typical end-to-end duration, depending on fleet size and environment complexity

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

What exactly happens in April 2027?
Omnissa has announced the end of support for the on-premises Workspace ONE UEM platform. The software keeps running, but without security patches, vendor escalation or validation of new operating system releases.
Does the migration require re-enrolling every device?
It is planned in waves with assisted enrolment (Knox Mobile Enrollment, QR code, Apple Business Manager) to minimise user intervention. The pre-migration plan defines groups, calendar and communication.
Are current integrations preserved?
Directory (AD/LDAP), PKI, SIEM, mail, MTD and ITSM tools are reconnected on the new platform during pre-migration. Samsung SDS EMM deploys into the existing network topology.
What if I have not decided between SaaS and On-Prem yet?
That is exactly what the Bomontec assessment is for: a risk score, a decision matrix and an actionable recommendation in a 45-60 minute session.

Decide with time to spare

Workspace ONE On-Prem: build a realistic strategy.

45-60 minute session to obtain a risk score and an actionable recommendation with technical and commercial alternatives.

The assessment is a preliminary guidance session and does not constitute an audit, certification, accreditation, expert report or guarantee of compliance. Its conclusions depend on the information provided and must be technically validated within the scope of each project.
